DANCE THEATRE IN EDUCATION (‘D-TIE’)
FLUX can provide fully tailored dance projects, curricular and extra curricular activities to your school, college or youth organisation.
These can range from small scale projects through to full scale D TIE depending on your needs and budget. If you would like to bring dance to your school/college or youth organsation please get in touch and lets talk!
SMALL SCALE PROJECTS;
We can offer daytime workshops that fall within the school day and provide weekly dance sessions linking to your curriculum, or exam syllabus if required. Or we can provide after school dance activity.
Primary sessions usually last between 45minutes to 1 hour and usually cover a range of basic skills with a fun and engaging thematic base. Please get in touch to find out more.
Secondary sessions take into account previous and existing Dance experience and can be fully tailored to your needs including BTEC/GCSE and A LEVEL syllabi . If you would like to find out more please get in touch here.
WHAT IS D-TIE
D-TIE refers to DANCE THEATRE IN EDUCATION projects which usually include the following;
- a professional dance performance (‘initial ‘ performance) delivered by FLUX.
- Workshops tailored to children and themed around the performance they have seen.
- An ‘outcome’ performance created and performed by the children involved.
- Optional CPD/ teacher training opportunities for your school/college/youth organisation staff.
These projects would also involve an initial meeting with a FLUX representative and contact throughout the project over the agreed time frame. Alternatively, a smaller TIE project could include a performance by FLUX and workshops delivered across one day (without the outcome performance and CPD option).
Please check out our gallery for press releases/examples of our D-TIE work and if you are interested in booking FLUX please get in touch.

INCLUSIVE PRACTICE POLICY;
